Researcher Positions

Dharma Drum University of Taipei, Taiwan R.O.C. invites applications for researcher positions. The University has four academic schools — School of Life and Living, School of Philanthropy, School of Environmental Studies, and School of Arts and Culture — and is scheduled to open its door to graduate students in August, 2011. The researcher positions provide the opportunity to engage in the challenging work to launch an innovative, cross-disciplinary, liberal arts university and to become full-time or part-time faculty at the University.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a doctoral degree or be assistant professor or higher in related fields by date of appointment.

Researcher expertise is sought in the following or related specialties:

1)      School of Life and Living: philosophy, psychology, education, social work;

2)      School of Philanthropy: nonprofit organization, management, public administration; social welfare, social media;

3)      School of Environmental Studies: sustainability management, environmental economics, environmental information, environmental ecology;

4)      School of Arts and Culture: arts, community development, cultural communications.

Applicants should submit:

1)      A letter of interest, a statement of professional expertise and experience, areas of teaching and researching interests, a brief personal future plan,

2)      Updated curriculum vita including specialties, a list of courses taught, and a list of publications,

3)      Three letters of recommendation, and

4)      Samples of scholarly work.
