Philanthropy, Civic Engagement, and Network Society
Degui Academy (Taipei), April 24, 2009 The Preparatory Office of Dharma Drum University held the forum of “Philanthropy, Civic Engagement, and Network Society.” This is the first of a series of fourms on “Digital Philanthropy,” addressing the inter-related issues of information and communications technology, network culture, and sustainable developemnt.
Ms.Joy Tang, founder of One village Foundation, gave a keynote speech. Prof. Jiang Minghsiu, Dean of College of Hakka Studies at the National Central University, served as moderator and Ms.Lee Hsueying, senior resercher and director of Philanthropy Information Center at Himalaya Foundation, shared with the audience the innovative programs that Himalaya Foundation initiaved over the past several years.
