Building Technology Case Studies - Japanese Wooden Building Integration and Reengineering in Tamsui Area

Structure

The purpose of this study is through study, discussion, and documentary to reinterpret the Japanese Wooden Building in Tamsui Area from Building Technology point of view.

The three main focuses on this study are “lectures”, “seminars”, and “documentaries”. Lectures include the learning of Japanese wooden building structures, the basic architect theory and technique learning; the seminar is to discuss different view points; and the documentary film and slice showing.

Platform metting

The seminars will be an open forum discussion. The purpose of the seminar is to study the possibility and meaning of reserving the Japanese wooden building in Tamsui area through restoring technique view points.

Lectures

The lecture includes 9 subjects, which includes 3 categories: learning of Japanese wooden building structures, the basic architect theory and technique learning; the seminar is to discuss different view points.
